John Heffernan has over thirty years experience in publishing, leading teams in the creation and production of scholarly and legal research collections, metadata-based finding-aids, and indexes, and working with development teams, customers and end-users to test, deploy, implement, and technically support web and enterprise workflow solutions for scientific, technical, and medical journal peer review and for large-scale print production processes.
During his career, John has developed and managed a broad range of controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, and thesauri, crafting them, and associated tagging models, to solve user information needs across a wide spectrum of disciplines, especially those related to governmental, legislative, and regulatory issues.
John also is experienced with the challenges of managing change and with delivering training to diverse audiences.
