Laurie Damianos

Task Lead (MITRE)

Laurie Damianos has been with MITRE for over 10 years. Her interests focus on human-computer interaction, specifically design and development of usable and useful systems for real problems and real users, applications of user-centered studies, and research into evaluation methodologies. Ms Damianos is currently involved in fielding onomi, a social bookmarking tool on MITRE's intranet. As task lead, she is interested in collecting bookmarking data and analyzing usage patterns for better understanding social trends and influences.  

Ms Damianos received a B.S. in Math & Computer Science and a B.S. in the Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University. Before joining MITRE, Laurie designed and developed long term forecasting software for the automotive industry (at DRI/McGraw- Hill and EDS) and also participated in Carnegie Mellon University's Advanced Computing for Science Education (ACSE) project which designed, built, and assessed a multi-media science learning environment.
