Henry Stewart: DAM CHI 2011

Understanding of the reach, importance and meaning of digital assets will continue to deepen – that’s unstoppable. The challenge is to keep abreast of all the new developments. We welcome you to the (nth) Henry Stewart Conference on ‘The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media – all from the users’ perspective’, one of the great facilitators of increased understanding.   Assets have value – and exploiting this value is the purpose of our daylong conference.  Assets prosper when they are well managed.  Through our keynote presentations, case studies and panels, you’ll get a state-of-the-art understanding of both the “why” and the “how” of digital asset management – all from the point of view of DAM managers and users.

Our expert speakers – people with hands on experience of goals, objectives and issues you encounter on a daily basis – will share their insights, gained from: the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, ad agency, university, government and non-profit sectors, as well as from the printing industry and media companies.  We’ll hear innovative ideas about how DAM is quickly evolving from its one department origins into an enterprise-wide application.  We’ll learn about the rapidly maturing intersection of DAM with other technologies – with Integrated Marketing Management, with SAP, Oracle and other ERP systems, as well as other collaboration tools.  We’ll see how DAM is driving inventive applications for the iPad and Android tablets and being used in social media campaigns.  And,as always, we work on the building blocks that make for success in DAM – taxonomy, selecting the right DAM system for you, trends in compensation, analytics and reporting, and confronting the organizational barriers to adoption.

We know the value of networking with your peers, so we’ll start this year with an informal “DAM Meet-up” the night before the meeting – and we’ve designed sessions and breaks during the meeting to give you the important chance to meet your colleagues, exchange ideas and insights, and just talk casually.

Chicago’s motto is Urbs in Horto – Latin for “City in a Garden”.   Let us help you with the digital garden – and harvest the best practices in digital asset management.
