Challenge

This online products and services provider wanted to improve customer experience to increase customer conversions.  As part of this effort, they needed to simplify product information management systems and operations

Solution

Using Earley Information Science (EIS) taxonomy methodologies, the EIS team facilitated workshops with critical stakeholders, analyzed the existing site for the customer experience, and reviewed search capabilities.

It was determined that the product taxonomy needed to be redesigned along with a taxonomy for a library of over 15,000 design options.  Using sophisticated testing tools, we demonstrated substantial improvement in product and design search and findability.

Our team provided guidance on taxonomy deployment and helped the client team established the appropriate level of governance for ongoing operations.
