Shawn Shell is the founder and Principal consultant at Consejo, Inc. (http://www.consejoinc.com), a firm specializing in the development of information worker solutions. Shawn has spent more than twenty years in the information technology field. He has both a broad and deep range of expertise, from operational support to application development to information technology strategy. For more than the last decade, Shawn has concentrated on the development of content management solutions using primarily Microsoft-based technologies, including SharePoint, Office and EPiServer. Shawn also has broad experience across other content technologies like Documentum, Vignette, Broadvision and Interwoven.
He is an internationally recognized expert in SharePoint-based solutions and a sought-after speaker at industry events like Enterprise Search Summit, Enterprise 2.0, KMWorld and JBoye conferences. In addition to his work at Consejo, Shawn is a Contributing Analyst for the Real Story Group (http://www.realstorygroup.com), where he writes about SharePoint and the SharePoint ecosystem. Shawn was also a co-author of “Microsoft Content Management Server 2002: A Complete Guide” published by Addison-Wesley.
Prior to founding Consejo, Shawn held various management roles at Dell, including Practice Executive of Dell’s national content management consulting practice. Before Dell, he was an adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University and he started his career at Warner-Lambert Company (now Pfizer) where his responsibilities ranged from Help Desk analyst to managing Warner-Lambert’s global intranet site and public web presence.
