Vice President, Sales
The VP Sales will report to the CEO and be responsible for leading a current team of 4 direct reports. This is a newly created position given the growth of the company. The successful candidate will have the ability to grow a high performance team and make a major impact to the company. We are an information management consulting company specializing in content management strategy, taxonomy, search integration and information architecture. We work with clients in a broad range of industries including e-commerce, software, technology, life sciences, non profit, retail and government.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Enterprise selling (three month+ sales cycles) leveraging SMEs in the sales cycle
- Success in new customer acquisition and growing existing accounts
- Success selling consulting solutions to Fortune 500 companies at executive level
- Ability to articulate the business impact of a project, not just the technical implementation
- Experience selling project design and implementations for SharePoint, web content management, information architecture and / or document management
- Understands the IT project life cycle (vision – plan – develop – test – live – support)
- Has brought structure and clarity to an ambiguous sales environment (from lead generation through account management)
- Proven track record of achieving quota
- Has built / administered salesforce.com, compensation plans, performance plans
- Front line sales manager with at least four direct reports; Has inherited a group of individuals and built a high performing sales team
- Can tap into resources for immediate impact (potential hires, partners, customers, industry contacts, etc)
- Has succeeded in a virtual, unstructured environment
