Dr. Bruce Metz is a highly accomplished Chief Information Officer, Senior Executive and Principal Consultant with over twenty five years successful experience. Bruce has a proven track record enabling complex organizations, particularly in health care, to drive performance, accomplish vital strategic goals, and create competitive advantage. A recognized expert in technology-based innovation, Bruce has a stellar reputation as a trusted, energetic and results-oriented leader who has regularly delivered cost-effective solutions, maximized IT investment value, guided organizational change and developed high performing teams.
Bruce has served as CIO for a number of leading organizations including Lahey Health, Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson University Physicians, and Tufts University. Receiving high-level awards for leadership and innovation, Bruce has helped organizations thrive by harnessing the power of IT and taking advantage of new opportunities in an evolving digital economy. Bruce is a frequent presenter at national and regional forums on topics related to current and future healthcare trends such as the digital healthcare enterprise; connected health; and mergers, acquisitions and partnerships.
Bruce's breadth of experience includes working as a management consultant for Fortune 500 companies specializing in developing core business strategies, connecting organizational goals with enabling technology services, and leading organizational change management initiatives. Bruce received a BS in Industrial and Management Engineering from Columbia University, and an MA in Organizational Development and PhD in Applied Psychology from New York University. Bruce serves on several advisory boards and previously held an appointment as an Adjunct Professor in leadership and organizational change at the Tufts University Gordon Institute.
