Larry has been an AI practitioner for more than 30 years, with extensive experience designing, developing, and applying knowledge-based technologies. His experience runs the gamut, from co-founding and directing an AI research lab, to leading the development of intelligent tutoring and other AI software, to managing a 60-person professional services practice that developed knowledge-based solutions for clients across the globe. He was a project and program manager at a premier AI technology company and has served as Chief Knowledge Officer and Chief Scientist at companies focused on commercializing and applying AI technologies. Larry has also published numerous articles about AI in professional journals and business publications.
Larry strives to bring a balanced view to all of his projects, combining an appreciation for the needs of the business with a deep understanding of AI technology’s capabilities. His strength is building bridges, between clients and solution providers, between services organizations and software developers, between management and staff, and between strategic objectives and the tactical activities needed to achieve them.
After receiving his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Massachusetts, Larry has lived and worked in New Jersey and Austin, Texas and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
