The CDO is a relatively new role.  In some organizations the CDO is a key interface with the rest of the C-suite communicating what needs change in the organization and what resources are needed.

For those enterprises earlier in the journey around digital transformation, the CDO is a catalyst for change and spends their time communicating about the value of data sources – both structured and unstructured.  After executives understand directionally where the organization needs to go, the CDO role becomes one focused on execution – standing up data governance, establishing metrics for compliance, and holding business leaders accountable for owning their data.  The first role is one of evangelist and cheerleader, the second of structured transformational leader.

In this roundtable we will discuss ways to communicate the value of the CDO role and provide tactics for increasing influence in the C-suite.
