Challenge

The client is a global investment manager, providing a broad range of solutions for individuals, institutions, pension plans, trusts, partnerships and other clients.  The technology group wanted to provide greater value to the business by improving access to information for a range of business functions including Sales and Marketing, and customer facing Transfer Agents and Financial Advisors. A plan and design for Search Based Applications to unify information access was developed so that finding information and acting on it becomes a seamless integrated process.  This helped the organization realize greater value from technology investments.

 

Solution

Earley Information Science completed a detailed  assessment of the client’s content, systems and processes  using the EIS Search Based Application Design Framework ™and maturity model.  We defined the Future State, Current State, and Gaps, and recommended an 18 month roadmap to implement improved content access, reduce cycle time for customer support processes and integrate disparate systems using a variety of tools and systems.

 

Results

A comprehensive design and proof of concept solution for search Infrastructure supporting development of Search Based Applications for unified information access. This approach will provide significant Improvements across numerous processes and functional areas.  The fully implemented program is projected to reduce access time to content and data for complex support processes by up to 40%.
